5 IDEAS FOR GOLD COAST KIDS ON SCHOOL HOLIDAYS

  • Daintree and Cape Tribulation is just like the tourist posters say โ€œWhere the rainforest meets the reefโ€ The still quite untouched part of North Queensland. No wifi and no mobile reception. Just you and the worldโ€™s oldest rainforest ๐ŸŒด.
.
.
Our TOP 5 of Cape Tribulation / Daintree:
1. Take a short drive down the famous 4WD Bloomfield Track. Accessible in a 2WD car all the way to first river crossing where you can also find the path to Emmagen Creek. This swimming hole is the most beautiful spot of our entire trip. Surprisingly quiet. Maybe the dirt road scares majority of the tourists.
2. Just because you canโ€™t swim here doesnโ€™t mean you canโ€™t visit. Grab some lunch and stop by one of the beaches along the way. Plenty of people around, doing what we all do best ๐Ÿ“ธ๐Ÿคณ ๐Ÿ˜‰
3. Masonโ€™s Cafe. Try a burger ๐Ÿ” with a twist and swim in their amazing ๐Ÿ’ฆ waterhole. No crocks ๐ŸŠ in the water just in your burger ๐Ÿ˜‰
4. @daintreeicecream ๐Ÿฆ is a must in the HOT tropical ๐ŸŒด North Queensland. Exotic fruit flavours got Leoโ€™s approval ๐ŸŒŸ
5. @junglesurfing See the worldโ€™s oldest rainforest from above ๐Ÿ‘€ The tour guys were amazing. Loads of laughs and giggles along the way
  • Port Douglas ... so many good memories ๐Ÿ’ญ โ€ข
.
Reminds me a little bit of Noosa and for those who know me know how much I love that place ๐Ÿ˜‰! .
Our TOP 5 of Port Douglas
1. Relaxing lunch or dinner on the public Pontoon right next to the pier. Grab a fishing rod for the kids... happy kids = relaxed parents ๐Ÿ™Š ๐ŸŽฃ
2. Lunch at @thalabeach restaurant. Walk down to the beach, play amongst the palm trees or just swing in their hammocks ๐Ÿ™Œ
3. Sail away ... no more needs to be said. My favourite tour of our Queensland East Coast trip! @sailaway_portdouglas
4. Want to see a salt water croc ๐ŸŠ then grab a coffee at @choochoospd. This ๐ŸŠ local likes to hang around and say hello. Make sure to grab the table along the water ๐Ÿ’ฆ
5. The refreshing Mossman Gorge. Swim, SUP or just explore the beautiful land of the Kuku Yalanji people. @mossmangorge
  • What would we do without your ๐Ÿ’ช Chloee ๐Ÿ˜‰?
  • My little water babies ๐Ÿ’– So nice seeing them embracing Mother Nature โ€ข
  • ๐ŸŽถโ€A kangaroo and a cockatoo and a clothes line at the back and a old rocking chairโ€๐ŸŽต
  • My Little Dude ๐Ÿ„โ€โ™‚๏ธ .
.
Agnes Water Beach stretches for 6 km; great surfing for the little ones. It is also claimed to be the most northern surf beach on the east coast of Australia.
.
Only 6 hours from the Gold Coast so we are definitely heading there again! .
How far will you go for a long weekend?
